Jerry has been working so hard and earned a trip with the President's Club. We were all set to go to California and relax at the beach and have a great time together. It was perfect since it was close to our anniversary and his birthday and we were really excited. But then Covid-19 started happening and things started falling apart very quickly. The night before we were supposed to leave we canceled the trip. We were worried about travel getting shut down and we didn't want to be stuck in California. So instead we went to a resort just outside of Park City. It turned out to be amazing. It wasn't crowded and it was just enough to be a getaway, but we were also close enough to home that we could still be in touch with our kids as everything started falling apart. It was stressful. But it was also such an amazing resort that we were able to relax and get ready to handle the madness that is Covid.
This was our room. The view was amazing. The earthiness of it was so grounding and I loved it.
This was the pool and hot tub that we sat in every day and night!
One morning we went on a run/hike and this was looking back at the resort.
It was very pretty and isolated. It felt like we were away from reality.
I knew what was coming when we got back home and I was grateful to have a recharge before I actually had to deal with it. While we were here schools got shut down, church got canceled, businesses closed...it was unimaginable and yet it was really happening. At least we had this one last hurrah!
