2nd robotics comp

Matt had his second robotics competition in January.  Since they had already qualified for state they used this comp as a practice.  They worked hard to make some improvements on their robot so they could try them out.  They worked on an autonomous driving program so they could add that to their points.  They also worked on their shooting.  They also traded off who got to drive it so they could all have a chance to do it in competition.  This is a video of Matt driving it.  It was a good experience and I'm glad he did it because he was nervous, but it's funny how on this team they all have found something that they are good at.  For Matt he loves coaching the drivers and is good at seeing all that's going on on the field.  They didn't do as well in this competition but it was a good practice.

Off track ski days

I love when my kids are off track.  And I love when we can go skiing when the resorts are empty.  We had so much fun being together.  We ate a lot of chocolate chip cookies and nacho cheese doritios!  Watching these videos now amazes me at how much they improved this season.  They have worked so hard and pushed themselves a ton!  It's pretty cool to see.

Jacob and Marta's wedding

We were so excited to be able to attend Jacob and Marta's wedding.  We think Marta is great and are so happy to have her in our family.  We absolutely loved her dress!  She's a gorgeous girl.  And in other news, Jacob was there too!

They had a super fun wedding with lots of dancing.  The girls and I had a blast.  Matt and Jerry... not so much!  I wasn't ready to leave until it was over and this is how they felt about it!

Dorks!!

I really wanted to hang around until we saw Jacob latin dance with Marta.  It was worth the wait.  We had some fun with a mannequin challenge while we were waiting!

Sledding fun

Kate and Sara went off track after Christmas break which was so awesome!  We kept on having fun in the snow.  This time on sleds!

Making a sledding train is fun.

So. Much. Snow.

We just kept getting storm after storm.  It was so awesome.  Jerry and I were glad we had some days where we were able to enjoy it.  Skiing on feet of new snow is an incredible experience!  We took full advantage!

Unfortunately, sometimes responsibility takes precedence and we couldn't go skiing.  I still had fun playing in the snow.  I really wished I had my cross country skis to enjoy it that way! Tulo loves playing around in it too!

12:01 am

12:01...Jerry says, "bedtime!"  I say, "Selfie!"  Happy New Year's!

On our off days

We also had fun on our off ski days during Christmas break. We enjoyed some walks and fresh air with Tulo.

These two are so cute together.  I love when I can let him off his leash and the two of them explore together.  They are good little buddies.

Tulo is afraid of the horses but he tries to be brave!

I also dragged Jerry out for some runs.  I love running in the winter.  I love running in all the places that I won't go in the summer because of snakes.  The winter opens up so many new places for me!
