Race #4 Richfield

 One fun thing about mountain biking is seeing places in the state that we wouldn't otherwise go to.  First was Vernal, and this weekend we got to experience the beauty of Richfield.  It was a fun weekend.  It was an interesting course, not a lot of uphill so it was fast the whole time which was tough.  Kate raced hard and at the end of her race, she ended up getting beat by her friend, Natalie, that she had been racing all season, which meant that Kate beat her twice, Natalie beat Kate twice, and they ended up tied for 16th in the region!  We laughed about that the whole weekend!  Funny girls.  Matt didn't have his best race, but he still finished hard and we were impressed with the whole JV A boys team, they had 5 riders finish in the top 24.  That was pretty cool!

This wreck happened at the start of Kate's race.  Ugh!  I hate watching this.  It was so dusty that the riders in the back ended up not being able to see well so there was actually a lot of wrecks at the start.  Luckily, Kate was ahead of it.

Hanging with Grandma and Grandpa

We were happy to have Grandma and Grandpa come visit for a weekend and we took them up to one of our favorite fall places, Silver Lake.  We had fun walking around and goofing off and enjoying the colors.

A day off

Kate had a day off of school this fall so we decided to go mountain biking at Park City Mountain Resort.  One of my favorite places!  It was so gorgeous and it was such a great day to hang out together.  All my life I've wanted fun girls to ride bikes with and I finally have what I wanted in my daughters! It was such a great day.  I'm so proud of her skills.  She has improved so much.  I don't have to go slow and wait for her anymore.  In fact, she beats me on the downhill.  It was such a great day with her and it made me really laugh when this meme showed up on social media soon after! SO TRUE!!
